Question.

Does anyone know if this light can be altered to make it just a flashlight with out the strobe and what ever else it has. What is involved. Could a person with a little experience do this or does it take special tools and knowledge I do not have Well lets say I have no experience with in this area but I have worked with my hands all my life. Retired Licensed Electrical contractor. . And if I would ask someone on here to do this for me who would that be. I love the feel of the light and its heft and its looks are great. But I got a good bargin on this light that is why I own it. But the five second wait after you turn it off for it to reset so when you turn it on again when you just want the light part again is way to long. And I just do not need that stuff.

Who be da man.

Thanks in advance,

Daniel AKA nativecajun

Why is this here in the Forums tech support form?

We get a few who think it's for technical questions, like how-to's.
I move them to where they belong, like this one to Gadgets & Gear.

Thanks to the Moderator, but my question is, if there is a tech support forum should this not be there?

I am on disability. Meds I take, anxiety meds, cronic back pain meds, panic disorder meds and I live with major depression. I hope that there are not to many more like this person that need to blow instead of explain. I get depressed very easily and people like the one above do not help one bit. Sorry moderator but he just turned my crank the wrong way.

Cheers,
Daniel

I suspect that it would be very difficult to alter the user interface of this light. What you might also do is inquire at candlepowerforums.com, as there are some serious flashlight brainiacs over there. I looked over there, and there are several older threads on the ITP C9, but none currently active. But I guarantee that you would get an answer over there, if no one here can address it.

Good luck with your depression and other issues. My mother in law is way off the charts manic right now, and in and out of the hospital, so I'm hip with what you are dealing with.

hah hah hah!

sorry that made me laugh. By way of explanation, Spark owns Bladeforums and thyerefore has the right to be terse about its usse. The technical support subform is for technical support regarding this website, not for questions about miscellaneous technical issues people encounter in life. So just a misunderstanding, no need to take it personally. :D

The light would need a new circuit, which is not exactly an easy undertaking. You can find circuits on various sites, but you will need someone with a good understanding of how lights work to find the right one, remove the old one, and replace it with a new one.
