It's 2016 people: how can this not exist?

I've been (mostly) away from BFC for the last few years. I drop back in only occasionally but since the PM2 was introduced I have sort of lost interest in new knives, with one exception: I have a great love and many uses for fully serrated blades. I want a full-serrated PM2! How can the PM2 have been out for all these years without offering a FS option?

In a world where we can put people on the moon and turn men into (kinda) women, why is there no fully-serrated PM2? Someone please make this happen or I'm afraid I'm going to break out the chain saw files.

Sal? Please?

Am sure they'd make it if they thought it would sell. Unless you have the wherewithal to fund a run of them, or can convince a dealer, distributor, or rich friend to do so, chances may be slim.
That said, a better solution than breaking out the chain saw files might be the one Sal has suggested in the past for after-market serrations, an outfit called Willey Knives.

Considering how popular this model is I think they could sell a run of 'em with full serrations and perhaps a different steel.

Why you gotta crush a man's dreams? ;)

An H1 knife with a bunch of critical components that are susceptible to rust is just a regular knife with poor edge retention. Or in other words, Captain Buzzkill reporting for duty, sir!

On a more serious note, (IMO) LC200N would make for a WAY more interesting PM2- similar corrosion resistance with less of a sacrifice in edge retention.

Absolutely. That would make for an interesting PM2. I mentioned H1 since we were discussing serrations. Sal got me thinking about it...
H1 is interesting. I've been cutting up boxes with a serrated Autonomy. We have a new orange one with a safety that I'm testing. Just cuts and cuts and cuts.

sal

You're right that it wouldn't really be a salt with everything else in there. H1 seems to have particularly good edge retention with a serrated blade. I wonder what other steels might behave similarly.

The metal liners, locking mechanism, washers, screws, and assorted hardware would defeat the purpose of an H1 blade, plus you'd have to match parts from two different factories.

Exactly. Unfortunately.

However I would like to see a combo edge and full serrated regular PM2

I want a LC200N PM2! Titanium handle or g-10 in the salt yellow. Titanium or lc200n liners in the g-10. One with serration would be nice too

Sincerely,
