In a post a week or so ago I showed a knife that Charlie made out of our last piece of BG-42. Well this is the knife I made for myself out of the other half of the BG-42. This chance doesn't come along very often and I wanted a knife with a blade shape that would serve well as a utility knife for both hunting and fishing.
It has a 6 inch flat ground blade, nickel silver guard, butt cap and spacers with a stag handle.

Real good looking knife . From the pic it looks to have a little false edge clip I think it really adds to it

BG42 is one awesome steel on paper. I'd love to have a knife made from that stuff one day. This knife would be just fine;):)! Just kidding. I hope you follow up after a couple months of use.

Hi Harry,

Very nice hunter. Would like to see stainless fittings...but that is just personal choice.

Looks great.

Thanks for the comments guys. This was a hard one to make. Not because the knife was difficult, but deciding what I wanted in a knife. I have always liked a hunting knife that is a little longer than the normal 3.5 to 4 inches and stag was a natural although a piece of ivory we have gave it some competition. It's a little early to start talking about selling it, but I have said in the past that of all I have only my wife, my three boys and the dog aren't for sale. Well after last night the dog is up for grabs too.
