It's a new month...

Nothing special on my lanyard, but I tied a new one up a few days back as well.

That is good looking, I like the green/blue combo.
What size paracord are ya'll using??? I really need to learn how to tie lanyards.
 
I use gutted 550. It makes a nice stuff lanyard when I tie them tight.
 
Yes, this makes it thin enough to slip (with some effort) through the lanyard hole when doubled over. This is a bonus for those of us who don't want to untie the lanyard to change or clean it.

It also makes it possible for me to make them, and ship them to friends far away.
 
Lime Green Jello,,,, you guys make my efforts look very sophomoric,,,, I've got to up my game! You Tube has tons of great how to lanyard videos,,, now if I could trade some thumbs for fingers!

hmmmm, well I could perhaps do a video sometime but of all the videos I have seen, none of them show me much (I always get confused.

If you know lanyards, I can tell you that it is a simple 4-strand core cobra knot with a double strand diamond knot (the ball) to finish.

If you don't know lanyards, tell me what colors you want, tell me if you want it a little longer or shorter, and pm your address to me.
 
Try looking up TIAT (tying it all together) on you tube. That guy is great for learning how to tie paracord. I have learned a lot from him. Best videos to follow and understand by far.
 
did you put a ball in the hole of the handle? how did you get that done? iv never seen that version of micarta sebbie before.it looks great. and what is the material of inlaid ball?
 
I'm interested to know how you added the cabochon. Did you cut a stone and glue it from the inside?
 
I am not sure if CRK will add a Cabochon to a knife that was not built with one. I tried contacting them first but was not successful. I used to do a lot of knife mods/pimping so I broke out the old tools.

I'm confident that there are others that could do this sort of mod.

As far as special ordering a knife with one, yes. CRKs has it on their price list so I'd say it's definitely available. I'm not sure it is available with micarta, but it would seem that they could if they wanted too.
 
Part of the reason I did the Cabochon myself is that this hematite is kind of special. I got it 21 years ago while fulfilling my geology field camp requirement in college.
 
I love that hematite in your sebbie! :thumbup: I wonder if something similar can be done with opal?

For now, heres a lanyard I just changed out on my large sebenza. Just anodized it in diet pepsi too:D

Just finished the bead and lanyard. Took 6 tries to get the color to match! LOL



Had to make one for my Marine Corps. 239 years Strong Today!
