Its a sad day for the Mechanicsburg fire dept.

Sad news indeed. Everytime one of these heroes dies, we all lose something. Condolences.

It's always especially sad and difficult to understand when someone who deliberately faces great danger is killed in a simple accident. My condolences to all.

I just read the daily LODD email.

It is always a sad day when a brother or sister loses their life.

Rest in peace.

the funeral is monday at the gymnasium. i wish the first event held there was a game instead of a funeral.

It is, unfortunately, too common for firefighters to die falling off a fire truck inside the station after a fire.

I feel that there are three main reasons for this. One, the firefighters are tired after working a fire. Two, they are usually still wearing their awkward fire boots and bunker pants. Three, fire truck designers still have not made it easy to climb on and off the top of a fire truck, even though it is required to have men up there to reload the hose and, sometimes, other equipment. Fire trucks should have built in ladders to use to climb on the truck. Most have little awkward little steps if they have anything.

Rest in Peace, brother.

Condolences to his brothers, sisters, family, and community. I read about this at Firehouse.com this morning when I came to work, such a sad loss. We flew one of our local volunteer Captains to Emanuel (trauma ctr) after a brutal MVA a week ago. Going through that, I can't imagine the pain and loss that the town must be going through.

Rest In Peace FF Trainer
