With 2 mortar blades in the oven...so pics on those in a few.

while waiting on the 2...just started playing around with cheap tools from H.B and 1 of the many free rasps I get...like all them magnets? :o pretty quiet now:D

Sweet. No I mean sweet setup. VERY jealous of your anvil. And I remember that grinder too, surely jealous there. Not to mention the awesome forge you're using.

What you going to use for scales?? Come on now. More pics.

The 110lbs anvil is that Harbor Freight one that cost me around $76.00 +or- after a discount :D being a total newb at this I just could not justify a high $$ anvil yet, my back and ears would never know the difference:rolleyes:

Here are the 2 blades after a nice cooking in my kitchen oven..nice greasy thumb print in the top :rolleyes: at least you can kinda see the hamon in the bottom one :thumbup:

I can't get a steel anvil at the harbor freights here in Atlanta. I used to call them pretty often to check, but gave up.

Pieces of rail road rail works pretty good, if you can find them.
