a long time ago I posted the following http://www.bladeforums.com/ubb/Forum54/HTML/000551.html A theoretical BS session about wild things in the world of knives. I just re-read it, and more than you might have thought actually has come to pass. With this in mind, it might be time for some more "Predictions". Sheesh, some of this stuff is spooky.

What's the most outrageous thing you can think of that might actually happen in the world of knives ?

for all your knife needs.

Mike Snody starts taking orders again. Emerson makes a production cqc-6 and there are no flame wars about the liner lock-up.
S.R. Johnson corners the under $200.00 integral fighter market.

Those are some truly scary predictions.

Hmm. Predictions? How about these:

Buck releases a full line of auto openers.

CRKT brings all production to the U.S.A.

Victorinox and Wenger release one-hand opening "tactical" Swiss Army knives.

Microtech releases an "economy" line of folders all under $100 US dollars.

EDI finally releases a new line of folders.

Sheeple start to realise it's not the product (knives, autos, daggers, dirks, guns, etc.) that kill you, it's the lack of them that does it.

Legislation changes to reflect this new development and suddenly all bladed devices or weapons becomes totally legal. It becomes illegal not to have at least one knife on you.

Busse actually completes the design and manufacture of his nuclear tough folder... and it sells for under $200.... Malaysian dollars.

Lightsabre becomes reality.

Microtech builds a DA OTF, which is strong, sturdy, beautiful and suitable for every day carry... and retails it for under $400.

Piranha, MOD and various other makers of automatics follow suit.

Camillus redesigns the Talonite Talon and mini-Talon so that it wastes less Talonite in the handles, putting more Talonite to the blade area and reducing the price at the same time.... and sells it with a sheath that has jump grade retention. (I have some ideas on that if Will would like to contact me

I will be hailed as the new Bob Loveless and all the knives I make will sell for upwards of $35,000 for just the plain vanilla versions.

How about this for a prediction?:

Due to overwhelming pressure from the Knife Community, Steve Taylor of Taylor Cutlery (Smith & Wesson) will take a new direction and stop marketing cheap ripoffs and finally begin to run a reputable cutlery company.

Do you believe in miracles?

The Kit Carson / Paul Chen collaboration.

The Kit-Chen Sync.

"Whoa, lad! That's alot of knives you got there!"

"Yep, everything but the Kit-Chen Sync. Dang 2-year waiting list bastids anyways..."
