Okay, Jimi Wade is going to kick my ass 'cause I keep fiddling with his awesome little necker. This little scandi grind 1075 just needed a little organic tweaking for my taste.
It started out with Jimi's awesome little green OD paracord wrap. This wrap job that Jimi did was first rate and there were no complaints there.
But my wife, though, started teasing me about it being all tactical in all, and I'm a sensitve guy. So then I replaced Jimi's wrap with a crappier version of a yellow cord.
I can't say I liked the yellow cord stuff that much, I still wanted something organic. Maybe it was Jimi's neo-primitive still clanging around in my head. What I ended up settling on though was this. Jute twine. Ahw - good 'ol jute. This stuff just grabs hold of your palm skin and holds it as well as it holds onto knots. It looks rougher, less refined fur sure. But it has that organic feel that I like so much and it is just so much more comfy in the hand. Hope you guys like it.....
Still fits its sheath nice and snug...
The ends are just different colored pieces of twine and then treated with a little tung oil and allowed to dry.
