Bit of back story: bought a sog vision about 13 years ago, used and abused it a bunch and moved on to other blades that caught my eye. It was, and is, a great knife. The two things I never liked about the original vision were the combo edge blade and the ats-34. I loved the arc lock and the titanium handle and the overall ergonomics of it. In my opinion it was a knife that had a great handle but a blade that needed work.
In Atlanta this year I looked at the fairly new (SOG has been off of my radar for a while) Visionary II and an idea struck me. Here was a knife that had a great blade (straight edge and VG-10) and a less than great handle. (Esp the flimsy pocket clip).
I decided to make a frankensog. Muhahahaha....
Took the blade out of a visionary II and placed it into the vision handle. Everything lined up perfectly and I now have this: I think it looks really good, especially the black blade and gray handle which is a reverse of the usual.
What do you guys think?
