It's all your fault Kershaw!! A post in the "general knife discussion" forums was talking about how much money is spent on knives over time.., well since I bought my Leek a while back and then joined BF on 3/30/08 I have spent about $1100 on knives. And since Kershaw knives are the ones that started it all, I blame you. It's no use trying to talk your way out of it!! If you didn't make such a damn-fine product I could've saved alot of money over the past couple of months!! So because of the money you've cost me I'm swearing off Kershaw knives.., oh yes I am! For about an hour.., then, before I get the shakes from withdrawl, I'm going to go look into ordering a Skyline, or maybe a lahar, or a RAM.., dammit, look what you've done! haha! :D

Keep up the great work guys! and thanks for the new(albeit expensive) hobby!!

Tell me about it. Up until my first post in the Kershaw subforum I had basically given up on folders and gone strictly fixed. Time and again I had been told how worthless liner and frame locks were. Then one day I got my A. G. Russell catalog, flipped through it, "then I saw her face, now I'm a believer!" It was the Lahar with the JYDII staring at her from across the page. Now I can't look at any other brand of folders. Sure I have old Schrades, some Gerbers, a couple SAKs, and some others; but they stay in 72 hour bags where they belong. Now to find a line of fixed blades that gives me that kind of trust.

You just need a little willpower, show some restraint like the rest of us do !!!

Or as coach would say , " rub some dirt on it and take another lap" :D:D

It's a drug they lace the knives with I tell ya!!
1st your hands get all sweaty, then you reach
for the wallet....and the biggy, you get a fathead,
and the only way to get it unfatty(:D) is to buy
more knives. ;)

SV, it's been proved by a locked room-full of rocket scientists that the drugs Kershaw uses are laced in the boxes. Ya don't even have to handle the knife, just holding a new fully potent box will give a Kershaw addict a new fix. Don't believe me? Take a trip to NGK and watch the shaky, sunken eyed addicts lined up outside before the door is unlocked. They shuffle in, and you can hear the "oohs" and "ahhs" as the cases are opened, the new boxes handled, and the drug giving them the bump they need to get thru the day! Why else would it be called a pharmacy? :D

And you guys thought a crack habit was expensive...

are you sure you didn't get lost and end up at the methadone clinic in Princeton:D You can get your fix either way.

Naw spiral, I wound up at that other "clinic" in Princeton. You know, the same one you enjoy visiting!

That's really weird. I was about to start a new thread on EXACTLY the same thing yesterday (until i saw you one that is).

Bizzare....!

Anyway, I've plunged into a number of Kershaw's namely the following since visiting this forum (which wasn't long ago at all):

+ Kershaw Tyrade
+ Kershaw ZT 0200
+ Kershaw ZT 0200ST
+ Kershaw JYD II 1725CB
+ 3 x Kershaw Storm II

The thing that drew me in is the quality of these knives and its rarity.

Oh well... next time I better view the 'Pictures' thread with my eyes closed!!

Closing your eyes doesn't work, it only feeds the imagination.
We are talking knives.....right???
:D

Did I miss a post somewhere? This makes no sense to me...What the hell are you talking about SV??

Kershaw has been messing with my mind. First I want x-model, then I get interested in another, then another, before I've even got x-model!! It's been awhile since I got a Kershaw; now there are too many great ones. I know I could just get 'em all, but at this point it's not an option. I am trying to pick from...

Ener-G (1 or 2)
Blur
Shallot
E.T.

And I'm sure others will start haunting my mind as well. :)

Out of your list there James Y, In order, I'd go:
Blur (only if it's SG2)
ENER-G II
Shallot
E.T.

If the Blur's not SG2, I'd reverse the top two.

But wait a minute, where's the JYD II CB, the ZT0200, the CB Leek, the...well, I think you understand!

I think I'll have a blue SG2 Blur soon. The black, red and brown ones need more company!

I've been collecting "donor" SG2 Blurs! :D One of these days I'll have a big Brown Blur clearance sale, with various blades other than SG2.

SPXTrader:
Yup, it's a nightmare! Of the lot right now, I may put the Ener-G 1 or 2 at the top; the trac-tec inserts may affect my decision on that (and the Blur), and the Shallot seems to be climbing to favored position. For me, the E.T. is still a ways down the list in comparison. I almost regret getting the new catalog (well, maybe not). :)
