I stopped by a pawn shop the other day just to see what they had. Mostly looking for good deals on .308 ammo. I always look at the guns and knives they have on hand. Up on the wall, sittin on a case that had some Randals and some handmades in it I see em, bigger than life! I take them down and look just to make sure and yup, a pair of knives that I made way back in 98. I couldn't believe it! What really amazed me is how beautiful they were, lol! I had made these back when I was still using steel punches to mark my blades. On one side was COOPER. On the other the serial numbers. The serial number was made up of the month day and year I finished the knife plus the number the knife was for the year. These two are 13A and 13B and were finished in February of 98. They were made from the steel of an old saw mill blade that was over four foot in diameter. It was huge! Anyway, I grabbed em up and was happy to get em back! They were the last knives I made before my brother died in June of 98.
Here's a couple pics of em.
