Wow, what a week. A great week. An Emerson week!

Your responses to my partial launching of the USN website have been utterly positive and encouraging. I thank all of you so much for that. I love this project, and you have my word that I will make it the best that it can be.
To those of you who have already offered financial help with acquiring the software and additional webspace, you will be receiving both instant moderator status upon launch AND a complimentary Blair Brain Spike which has now been officially dubbed "Blair Stealth Stylus". I thank BobRP for so kindly discovering that we have a legitimate use for these things. Bob will receive the new Stealth Stylus protos soon, and so will John Hollister. Don Rearic, BobRP, and Ross all have early protos in hand, and Larry Brahms has many. Feedback has been quite positive thus far.
Speaking of Larry Brahms; he has assured me that he will be a major supporter of the USN. Larry has offered a very nice Emersonesque prize which will be offered during a contest once the USN Forum is up and running. This....will be....fun. :)
Now, onto the REAL goodies, at least for me.
Today I received my Mini Commander from the BladeArt guys. Too cool. I'm convinced that Emerson indeed has QC issues fully under control as this Mini-C is just perfect. If you don't have a Mini-C yet you're truly missing out. Get one. :)
And finally, did anyone notice the minty CQC6 that our Suspect Joel Pirela had for sale in the "customs for sale" forum just recently? Well, with the help of my buddy Larry Brahms I've managed to acquire this excellent Six, and Joel will be delivering it to Larry this Friday, and it will soon become a permanent part of my collection. Thank you Larry and Joel for making this possible. This will be my first SIX, and such a grand example it appears to be. Joel, if you have anymore pics of it, or any history on this piece, I'd greatly appreciate it. :)
I hope to see all of you tonight at chat!

Congrats on the 6 Eric. I was tempted by that one but passed since I already have one. It is one sweet looking knife. Larry Brahms is the best isn't he :D
michael

Michael, thanks for the congrats! Yes, Larry is indeed the best, and I'm GLAD that you passed on that Six because it's exactly what I want. :)

And I'll have you added to the USN database very shortly, Michael. Welcome aboard. :)

Congrats Eric, and yes Larry is the best. Is your strider folders coming yet ? My # 94 the last hollow ground GB is on it's way now !You gonna be home Friday ?
Later and the USN is the whip and i will do what i can to help, just ask.

Great post..
Congrats on the "Custom" scores Eric.
Larry is the BEST...
Thanks for the heads up on the Hayes Tsunami Larry.
Great Blade !

Great score Eric...good for you, that 6 has been adopted into good company.

Hi Eric!

First congrats on the launch of USN.... a work of love! :D

Then,

I uploaded some pics to my website to link it to the post but I forgot to take blank spaces out to the .jpg files...

I will fix it later today and post them.

That CQC6 is the second I got for a trade involving a Viper 1.

It's a mint, unused, out of the box to take pics and back to the box...

My first CQC6 (also my first custom emerson) got it from Ernie at Blade Show 2000.

Larry is first class guy!

It's very dangerous to live 3 miles away from him!

Take care!

Joel, you are very lucky to live 3 miles from Larry. I am lucky I don't live that close :D
michael :)

Eric,

The USN is awesome. Great work. Congrats on the new 6.

Joel,

If I lived that close to Larry I would just sleep on the floor.

Liong

Eric,

Send you an email about webspace. Let me know what you think.

I'll throw my 2 cents in here and say the Larry is a top notch guy !!
If there were an Academy Awards of knife type stuff, he would be getting the big time awards thingy !!!

All this knife porn is making me feel all dirty inside :D

Great catch Eric, congratulations. I'm sure it'll love it's new home.

But are you gonna carry this one? If you do which pocket because IIRC you're carrying a bunch of blades right now aren't you? I know there's a '98 Commander in there and a Ryan Model 1. So which pocket is this little beast gonna make it's home?

Ross T.

envy, envy, envy, envy, envy............. :p

Sorry for the slow response, but I was busy yesterday, guys.

Tat, I got your message today on my answering machine and I'll give you a call tomorrow, buddy. :)

Tam, Raye, and Liong, thanks for the further congrats on the Six! She'll be arriving early next week, and I'll take mucho pix and post them here.

Joel, THANK YOU for posting the outstanding pix! I'm certain that I'll love this Six. She appears to be entirely MINT. Thank you for taking such good care of her, and for delivering her to Larry today. :)

Ross, Ted, and Ark, I'll be responding to your e-mails tomorrow morning first thing. Your offers of help with the USN are extremely kind and most welcome. With all of us pitching in like this, the USN will soon be truly incredible for all of us. :)

Suspects.....are simply THE best people. No doubt.

Eric,

Switched to my new server on Thursday, so if you tried to send me an email it probably bounced.
