So while rummaging around for something else entirely today I rediscovered this what i think is a sweetly shaped little thing .curiously enough though the only potentially identifying markings it sports is the single word "Anniversary" immediately beneath the pole.
My likely lame attempts at unearthing an identity or reason behind a rather strange word for a hatchet to be sporting have all come up empty handed, so here I am once again with a puzzle that has me downright befuddled but likely is in reality embarrassingly obvious. Any help or advice is welcome and appreciated my friends

I've got a phantom beveled boys axe marked "Anniversary".
It found out it was a hardware store line, that was a couple years ago though and I dont remember what company.
I've seen others marked "kelly anniversary".

I vaguely recall this anniversary marking as a hardware store line, but can't eerememb what.
Regardless this is definitely a sweet little hatchet that you sure are lucky to own.

Not sure what it means. But I will share it..

Presumably that's a Worthington axe, with 1829 (on the label) being the year it was founded, and 1929 (on the label) being the 100th Anniversary year.

George Worthington (September 21, 1813 – November 9, 1871) was a 19th-century merchant and banker in Cleveland, Ohio, who founded the Geo. Worthington Company, a wholesale hardware and industrial distribution firm, in 1829 (until 1991 Cleveland's oldest extant business)... Wikipedia

Here's the boys axe I mentioned above.
There's no other markings.

Soon as I began to remove the oxidation I realized immediately that it likely was something special. The steal in it's construction, it's reminiscent of the first time i handled a Gransfors, perception altered & bar lifted.
