It's Back (Fake Buck Survival)

Kind of look like the 691 zippers, but cheeper.

Blade; you get what you pay for...good luck with that...

that being said and agreed to, not bad for 10 dollars, i might buy one then report him to ebay
Those knives are made on child and forced labour, please don't support it by buying this stuff.

How do such people even manage a 95+ positive feedback rating on ebay?

Yeah, it might seem like a good move to buy one and then give him negative feedback, but it doesn't work.

They just get a new selling ID when their feedback gets too low.

Buck has to deal with the problem and I don't see any sign that they're doing it.

At least they look like fakes - its hard to feel sorry for people who get caught out buying one of them. I just came across an ebay listing for a Smidgen that (from the pics at least) appears to be an exact copy, box, markings and all. Odd thing is the price wasn't much less than genuine ones. The seller is based in China and states that the knife was made in China. I haven't provided a link because I don't want to promote such sites.

These are some of the pics from the listing. If anyone from Buck wants the link I am happy to provide it.

never thought of that, thanks for the heads up, how about artificially exagerating the bids with some forum members ,give him a taste of hisown medicine

Well, e-Bay has strict rules against auction interference and it's probably better to just leave it to Buck to handle.

The Bay can get nasty with anyone who breaks the rules......even in a good cause. Try to explain it to them.....not easy.

You don't want to get kicked off e-Bay because of some crooked seller.

Many are the clueless......yet, they too bleed red just like us when cut.

Remember, even we were once not so filled with the abundance of clue we now possess.

:D

It is said that the greatest failure of our failed education system is that it is now turning out graduates that show almost a total lack of critical thinking skills. Worse.....if they see it on the internet they assume that it's true.

We who came through a better system have an obligation to help them (and there are some that can be helped).

Compassion is a virtue.

;)

As much as I agree, I've never brushed my teeth with a toothbrush manufactured in a free country. I think the point is that buy buying a few of these fakes people could discredit the seller. Unfortunately, the internet is a smokescreen where the dishonest can wear a hundred faces.

You would be surprised how bad it really is. I try to help my students as much as I can, but sometimes I just have to shake my head. If I put the following statement up on the board "America Should invest in Coal Power" and asked my students to write down what they thought about it (whether they agree, disagree, or have questions they would like answered before forming a decision), a good 80% aren't going to understand what I just asked them to do. I learned my first year of teaching that many students don't know how to formulate independent thoughts.
