I sent my Benchmade Adamas to Benchmade for repairs, it arrived on 12/3 and its been quite some time and I am getting REALLY WORRIED about it. It is normal to take this long? Their website says 9-11 days.

i waited about 6 weeks when i sent a benchmade in for a new blade. i ended up calling to check the status and they asked if i wanted a regular or a black blade. no idea why they never contacted me since they had a question, but i would call them to check status.

If it has only been 2 weeks, that means 10 business days. So why are you worried they have not even gone over the quoted time. Plus with holidays everything is slower so you have to take that into account.

I've sent folders in to BM before, and they do come back just fine...and sharp. You will be happy; you need patience. The last time I sent in a folder (a different manufacturer), it took two months, but I got back, in essence, a new knife. Not a biggie unless you're 95 yrs old and counting.

p.s. Besides, Bill broke his arm and is off on sick leave. Jerry is in France with his wife, and Marjorie called in sick for the last three days, and your folder hasn't been unwrapped yet. But it's there on the shelf...and they will get to it just fine.

Talk to them :). It at best it is only 1 day late or if you only count business days, it's still within the 9 - 11 period. You'll only know what's up if you talk to them. Also remember, it's the Christmas rush, so everything is taking longer.

So those 9-11 days are just lies?

Business days from the time they get it.

How far to you live from Oregon City, OR? It takes the post office a while. Especially since it's almost Christmas time, the busiest time of the year to send anything anywhere.

Plus, they're human too. I'm sure they knock off whenever they can for the Holidays.

Last year I sent in a BM for sharpening right after the holidays, also had it engraved while it was there.

Took a while, busy busy busy time of the year right now. Don't worry, they don't lose knives.
