I was able to snag a couple old school SHSHs over the past few weeks, and today I picked up a new gun. I have a couple 5.56's already, so decided to go for the 7.62 this time.

Unfortunately, I'll probably have to skip the Ganzaa now :-(

Is that a Sig 716? I spent all day today trying to track one down. I found FDE and OD but I want black!!

Yes, it is. I went into my LGS on Saturday and saw it and put a deposit on it, then picked it up today. Man the phones to get the NICS checks are so backed up it is crazy. It took the shop almost 2 hours just to get the paper work through.

Now I just have to get some ammo and hit the range this week while I have some vacation days.

Very nice. I even called Sig because I qualify for the LEO program and they told me approximately 120 days for a Black 716. I can pick up a Scar 17s locally for a little less than I thought :barf: but I want the 716 to match a 556 Swat that I own and love.

I may have to bite the proverbial bullet and grab the 716 in FDE or OD instead of black. Not a lot of choice these days.

Please report how it shoots when you get some range time. Do you have an optic in mind?

2 hours for NICS? It's that bad today? Great, really looking forward to work now :thumbup:

I beleive it though, we've sold almost every 30rd PMAG and only have 1 AR and 1 AK left :eek:

That's not a bad wait time. Ordered a FDE 516 for a customer 4.5 months ago, should have been here 3 weeks ago, it's now another 9 weeks out.

Sig can't keep up with the long rifles, that 120 days sounds a bit optimistic.
 
Great (and expensive) looking set up. All though I am not a fan of the AR platform Sig makes some fantastic stuff!!

I hope to have a range report later this week. Just went and bought 400 rounds of ammo this morning.

I have a Trijicon Reflex 1X42 on my MSAR 5.56 that I plan on moving over to this, and then put an Eotech 551 I have on the MSAR.
