It's been a good sebenza year for me, shifting the direction of my collection this year and adding some nice knives.

Happy holidays to my CRK friends! :)

Come on, Dave -- you can't just leave us hangin' like that! :) What was the shift in direction, and what were the acquisitions?

me too- i got my think twice cut once sebbie-sure i almost sold it, but its with me

Sorry, I'll get pix soon, I spent most of the past three days shoveling.

I was collecting wood inlays, but will have sold or traded three of them this year. I realized that they sit in the drawer untouched, and what I really liked was Tom Mayo customized sebenzas. So I decided to make an effort to pick up whatever I could find. Luckily a couple have come up for sale/trade lately and I was lucky and got them. I feel a little "piggy", but I love them!

Anyway below is a group picture, the one on the upper left is not a mayo, but one with some custom work done I got from Spyken a while back..

I have edc'd the small regular for at least two years, except for the month I lost it in the snow.

Well, when Mayo modified the knives he usually rebevelled the edge and thinned it out, similar to what Tom Krein does today. Also in most cases different thumb studs have been added.

Yeah, I remember the basic protocol from when these were popular. Was thinking more along the lines of re-profiling or alternate blades.

Didn't he do some with additional blades? Maybe I'm imagining that.

Seems like there were some pictures floating around BF; would have been '98 or '99.
