Indeed, I can't remember the last time I went for a small stroll in the woods.

Yesterday was a pretty nice day, and my friend just got out of the psychiatric ward, so I was thinking of taking him out to change his mind.. I didn't have my camera with me, but he had his Nokia N95 which he managed to grab a few pics and film a vid.

I found this really neat spot about 1/2 mile from my place that I've been meaning to check out for a while. Found some Deer tracks, coyote, jack hair and partridge. There was obvious signs of no hunting. so we just stalked for a bit made a fire and had a snack. An awesome way to spend the day right before the snow storm we had later that evening, I really feel happier today.

All I had with me, was my Camelbak, Tak-1, Bahco Laplander saw, First aid kit, 2 lighters and some dryer lint/jute/fatwood, Brunton compass & monoculars and a bit of food.
Here are some pics, not the best quality and we didn't take that many.

Easy fire and kept us plenty warm. Allowed me to dry my cotton sweater from my Camelbak mouth piece leaking in the rest. Any ideas on how to avoid this or repairing would be great, It's happened to me a few times already...

Fun times!
Later that night I had lots of shoveling to do, and made a Hill for my 3y/o to toboggan down.. She had a blast & so did I!:D

Looks like a nice day... excellent way to clear the mind of things.
That fire looks inviting!

I have had the same leaking problem with my camelbak, you will need to replace the bite valve.

Great pics!

replace it or use plastic and a ranger band . Maybe put a pinch clip on the hose above the valve. How about fold the hose back on itself and wrap a ranger band around it to pinch the flow. Pull the valve off and put a plug in it. I know, I'm bored but am thinking what I would do in a pinch.
