What knife should i get?:D

I have the 2 knives all picked out but i just i wanna know what you all think i should i get.

First off the decision is only between these 2 knives so don't bother posting if you are going to give me a different suggestion.:grumpy: Thank you.

This knife will be used as an EDC. This means cutting boxes, opening mail, and whatever else needs cutting. This knife will not see abuse of any sort hopefully.

Here are the 2 knives as seen on knifecenter of the internet.

The boker Subcom folder:

I like this knife because it is small, good price, and it's a framelock. Also the reviews have been great for it:thumbup:

The Benchmade Rant Bowie:

Fixed blade, easily maintained, and from a reputable company.

I know it's like comparing apples to oranges, with the subcom being a folder and the benchmade being a fixed blade, but out of these two which would you rather carry. I'm not worried about which one is better since both are good, rather i'm merely looking for opinions on which knife YOU like better.

Sorry for the long post and thanks to those of you that made it to the bottom of it.:o

I would buy the Boker. I don't have any good reason behind this other than I like Chad, and I don't like "bowie" blades. :D

If it were going to be urban EDC I'd pick the Boker. If it were urban EDC mixed with more outdoors activities like hiking, camping and so forth, the BM.

Subcom, I have it right now, using it as a money clip

great back up for my other back-ups

redundancy is a good thing:)

Buy the Benchmade. I have a limited edition Juju in N690 and I am very impressed with that steel. The Rant Bowie looks like an almost ideal EDC fixed blade, and the price is right.

For my purposes a sub-2" blade is too small for an EDC so I guess I would go for the Benchmade (even though there are much better choices out there even in those price ranges).

I use to give all kinds of recommendations for folders. But lately I have come to the conclusion that fixed blades are the only truly reliable way to go. sure I still carry a folder, but my fixed blade sees more use. I nearly cut my fingers off with my Benchmade Skirmish once cutting a hole in a heavy gage plastic barrel (my fault as I torqued the lock while strong arming it) but I immediately changed to a fixed blade to finish.

It's still in the air which i will buy so keep the answers flowing.

You didn't like those 2? :) :)
How about a Maddog Tusk, Busse Basic 7, or a Mora #3? :)
