And my 806D2 Axis is still the coolest (especially now that the coating is gone), most ergonomic, scary sharp, EDC knife I have ever owned or handled. I keep looking, because I am not married to a folding knife, and could "cheat" on it, but nothing, not even knives costing four times as much, can hang with it overall IMO.

Ambidextrious (Since I am left handed when only carrying a knife and carry the EDC weak side when carrying a pistol.)
Faster than any auto I have ever handled.
Securely locking as a lockback with not a hint of failing ever.
Tough, just don't pry.
Thin enough, but I toy with the idea of making the axis buttons more flush.
Tip up/Tip down--you choose.
Holds an edge a long time.
Solid as the day I bought it.
Made in America.

What more could I want in an EDC? I suppose optional foo-foo metal scales, or rare wood, or titanium liners, instead of black G-10 and stainless steel. Options would be cool since the knife easily disassembles with a few torx bits.

The 806D2 not only blows away anything I have tried, but also my old AFCK liner lock. The only way I will replace my now experienced axis is if BM finally steps up to making ones with M2, CPM 3V, or CPM S30V blades and/or makes it somehow else more exotic.

Consumating that marriage would be, shall we say, impossible, and extremely painful if tried. :D

Careful...careful....step away from the line marked "W&C territory"...:)
