I hope everyone is having a great Christmas. Anyone get anything knife related? I haven't opened my presents yet, so I don't know what I got.

Keith, I got a lump of coal, what more could an old bladesmith ask for. :)

Have a great day with the family,

Bill

Merry Christmas
We're finished here - breakfast & gifts with mom, dad, daughter, new son-in-law, and my two boys.
Going to daughter's house for more gifts, and parents for lunch with nieces and nephews and their families, and then on to cousin's for dinner party.
(its all about family in our house)

No knife related presents from family other than kitchen stuff.
Some steel did come in but wife hasn't seen it yet... :D

Hope everyone has a great day - God bless!

We haven't opened presents yet either, so I have no idea. Merry Christmas!!

I hope all your wishes come true!!!

All the best,
David Darom (ddd)

Santa Claus gave me a book, to my great surprise:

A DDD book on custom folding knives. :)
David

Dave, do you really mean to say that even Santa, way out
in the North Pole, has a stack of my custom knife related books?

Well, in my wildest dreams I did not get that far.... :)

Enjoy!

All the best,
David Darom (ddd)

Merry Christmas to all! We're in between celebrations here - no knife related gifts, but I have so very much to be thankful for I am not complaining.

Have a great day everyone!

Roger

I feel so blessed to have my sisters here from Philly here!! That IS dream come true for me!! The house is filled with love, I couldn't ask foir a greater gift than that.

My Christmas has been wonderful, thank you. And yours?

I'm spoiled rotten just by having my family and frieds. That said, I got a Ka-Bar BK-9 from Mr. (Dr.?) Ethan Becker and will soon enough have my unworthy hands on a field knife from Mr. Phillip Patton.

If you're in my state and it smells like something rotten, that's just spoilage from me.

What knife presents are at the Montgomery household this yuletide season?

My wife Linda got a Bruce Bump bird & trout knife with 4" W-2 blade, stag handle for a lefty, and a left-handed sheath. As always, Bruce's work is impeccable.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all on the forums.

Merry Christmas Keith!

Well I finally made myself a little All Integral City Knife, and Manuela is making the Sheath for it!!! Woo Hoo!!!

The Loveless shop sent me some steel. It's drop, (what is left over after the cut) from Loveless Big Bears, and other Sub-Hilts. I made up a very limited handful of Integrals for very good Customers-(friends)- from it. So I decided I should have at least one Lovett Knife.
The Steel being from Bob Loveless and Jim Merritt make it very SPECIAL to me!

The other, a nice PAM-024. Watches and Knives Gotta Love-it!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and wish you a Happy New Year.

I had a great day with the family.
Received a new EDC from a very good knife BUD.

I got the only knife related thing I asked for, which was Knives 2009. Dinner was great, and it was my grandson's first Christmas, so it was special.

We had a full epic family day, starting with brunch at my folks', and then a drive into town for dinner with my wife's parents. There were lots of cousins, grandparents, siblings and the like around and tons of food. My mom's side of the family is Jewish, but the other is not, so while Christmas time is acknowledged, nobody really goes all out. Gift giving is pretty mellow, although I did give my daughter a new bicycle for christmas:D

My 13 year old cousin, got a nerf crossbow/gun thing, and just as I was stuffing a rum ball down my gullet, I took a nerf arrow to the forehead- between the eyes! Little bugger:D He has good aim, and does a pretty amazing Michael Jackson crotch grab/moonwalk move, especially considering I'm amazed he knows who Mikey is!

As for knife related stuff, I got my wife a Rosarms knife for the kitchen, but I guess it's for me too.

Anyway, I'm well and truly blessed to have such an awesome family, and the ability to see them easily, although I submit that I still don't see them all enough.
Right now my plan is to slurp some chamomile tea, and hopefully stay awake long enough for my wife to get tired enough to come to bed;).

Now, on toward a New Year.

I gave my 80 year old father-in-law(great, and awesome dude) a Mark Laramie white MOP stockman, and a Paul Long sharkskin ClipCase....he really liked it!

I GOT a Voodoo knife block....

From my brother-in-law, who I was in the Navy with.....black, very funny, knives sort of suck, but will work for utility....this is knife block #3.

Peace be to ye all, this special day!

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

Wow, Steven, now I can say that I know someone who
displays a Voodoo knife block in his kitchen, without my ever
being to one of those islands.

I was under the impression that the only clients for such pieces
are those who practice Voodoo or plan to begin.

Plan to begin......"shuddddders".....

Whatever, A HAPPY and HEALTHY NEW YEAR to ALL!

All the best,
David Darom (ddd)
