Is it just me or is the seeming endless time between the end of the Superbowl, through the draft and camp, to pre-season seem excessive? I am so glad Football season is finally here!

Now...Im a longtime Saints fan with finally something to crow about...but, we definately have some things to work on. The two missed fieldgoals really irked me, and Meachem's dropped Touchdown, as well. A bit of tuning up is necessary, though it is potentially just week one jitters. We will see. Defense performed fairly well considering how long they were on the field. A nice almost takeaway by the rook Safety and an actual one by Vilma. Ayodelle and Ced made some nice plays as well. The Secondary was on point Im happy to say, too.

On the whole I was happy with their performance...mostly because they won. Im just hoping the guys tighten up as the Vikings were not up to snuff and they kept it relatively close. Though to be honest the Saints mostly ran down the clock the last 1/4, playing conservatively. I hate when they do that. I dont like the whole play not to lose mindset.

Oh well...let the season begin!

Lol, Gaj...Im sorry. Its AMERICAN Football season again. My apologies. I love "Football" too (world's largest/most successful sport)...I was just excited my team is on the field again.

Thanks for setting me straight.

I enjoy soccer, and liked watching the World Cup, but I am excited about football here in the good ol' USA. Ravens/Jets matchup this Monday
at the Meadowlands:

Mon, Sep 13
7 PM New Meadowlands Stadium
East Rutherford, New Jersey.

Now, give me my Ravens, and give me my Manchester United for the match ;).

Ahhh football season again. Draft and camp is over, my fantasy teams are drafted and primed. Can't wait to see this new era in Eagles history. 11 years of McNabb was indeed a blessing after guys like Detmer and Hoying. I don't think the Eagles make the SB this year, but I think they've got a good shot at the division or WC at least. On the overall picture, I like the Jets a lot this year. If Sanchez steps up, they've got an insane offense (Edwards, Holmes, Cotchery, Keller, Greene) and you more or less can't pass on Revis and Cromartie. Should be another good year with good teams in both leagues this time.

Thank goodness the season's here! My friends thought it was really, really disgusting seeing me curled up in a ball on the floor going through football withdrawal for the last couple of months. I think it was the shaking and moaning that got to them.

Now I'm healed.

I see Chargers and Packers in the Super Bowl (even though I would prefer Chargers and Saint's).
