No, IG. I'm planning on blowing you off and riding this all day Monday up here.

JUST KIDDING!!!! I'll be there, Bubba. :D

Btw, my son bought one just like this, but black. His won't be in until Tuesday. Man, he is pissed I'm getting mine first!

So what is that thing for? You gonna run a power hammer off one wheel and power a pump with the other? :)

Want to know the real truth? I got this atv, and talked my son into getting one because he's so hot to buy one of those rice-rockets. I grew up on motorcycles. I've been riding since I was about 10. My son, Patrick, on the other hand, hasn't had the opportunity. He has a motorcycle now, but its an antique, and he only putts it around the back roads once in a while. He wanted a new, faster bike so bad it was all he could talk about. I figured that if I showed him he could have way more fun and for all months of the year on an atv, then that would be a better deal. He could still get his kicks, but have less chances to get killed.

There are more and more cars on the roads every day now. People who ride motorcycles are just waiting in line with their tickets to get in an accident. My wife is a statistical medical analyst for the hospital system here in NH, and the numbers are not good. Right now in the Granite State, 7 out of 10 motorcycle crashes are resulting in either death or debilitating injury. I love motorcycles don't get me wrong. I've had many, but now I am into less-lethal toys.

I might go see a baseball game tonight, or maybe not. Gonna spend a lot of time in the shop working and cleaning. Supposed to be cool, so that forge will be burning. :D

You guys have a safe one --

Tonight is family pizza and movie night (with beer thrown in for the adults of course!) My vote is for a good Kurosawa Samurai flick but my wife doesn't think the kids are quite ready for that yet. :D

If you read this IG I tried knocking one of the cast iron spacers out of a chain link last night. Thought I could whack it with a heavy hammer and pop it out. Fat chance! I guess I will just cut that link at the opposite end. How does wrought iron treat metal cutting bandsaw blades? I know the iron is soft but the silica slag worries me. I'd hate to ruin a good bimetal blade when I could just use a cutting disc on an angle grinder.

Guy: I use a cutting torch. I think the disc grinder is your best shot. I knock out the webbing with a hammer.

I think IG promised to remove all the webbing from my chain links before he mailed them. If not, I'll just refuse the shipment.

(ha ha, NOT) Mine will hopefully be here today, maybe tomorrow. Maybe I'll make a forge stand out of some of them, or a ankle braclett.
