Hey, its Friday again. Every seven days it rolls around. I used to ask why I was always working overtime on Saturday and cutting grass on Sunday. Well, with all thats happening in the private industry, I'm very thankful that I have the overtime, and that I have the land to cut grass on.

And that I have a knife maker right down the road from me! And up the road from me! Basically I can throw a stone, and whatever direction it lands, there will be a knife maker in a 30 mile radius. :D :)

What are your plans? Mine consist of working tomorrow. Then, after work, a friend of mine will go with me to get a nice suit for a conference at work next week. She has some fashion sense, as I have none. Sunday, you betcha, cutting grass.

This week I couldn't make the Chesapeake Knife Club meeting, next months meeting falls on my birthday, and if everything goes according to plan, I will be too soused to drive, so Julys meeting is out for me. August?

Getting ready to drive over to Blade....... 2 - 2 1/2 hour drive........

Will be there today and tomorrow. Plan on picking up a KMG from Rob.

Hold down the fort.

Work comtinues probably saturday and sunday this weekend...again...I couldn't make the chesapeake meeting either...will try again next month. If I'm lucky I may get a couple hours tonight to make some mulberry jam. The mulberrys are in season and I have close to 5lbs that my wife and I shook from the trees yesterday...

I'll be sipping a cool glass of tea wathcing my Wife cut the grass :)

Spending some time with my Daughter and packing for our move.

Best of luck to all the guys at Blade testing for their stamps.

No blade for me, but I am closing on my new house next thursday so its pack, pack, pack time! it was so sad to disassemble my KMG and put her in a box...I may reward her with a new paintjob before re-assembling in my new location. Navy blue KMG sounds awesome...

No blade show for me either, hope all that go have a blast and sell more than they buy.

Going up to the inlaws in VA for the weekend then will be coming home to live the bachelor life until the next weekend. Wife and kids are spending the week in MD.

I suspect that several knives will be made and finished, along with keeping busy with any kind of chore that comes to mind. I hate being home alone for more than a day or two, at least the dogs will be around.

Hey TicTock, HOme Depot has a nice blue Hammerite spraypaint that's an epoxy type paint impregnated with glass fibers that's really tough and looks great on a KMG.

For me, this weekend will consist of stuffing boxes for Operation Gratitude to send a little bit of home off to our troops:) I think the goal is around 15,000 boxes this weekend. It will be held at the Van Nuys, CA National Guard Armory. If you're in So Cal and have some time, come on out and help. You can learn more about Operation Gratitude here:

www.operationgratitude.com

It's real work, but it's for a great cause.

I will be machining some more hammers, making a planer blade for a friend and hopefully working more on the bowie order. Good luck to evryone going to Bade! Sell alot of knives, meet some new people and get inspired!

No blade for me either :( Tonight myapprentice class is getting together for a cram session for tommorows journymen test.(Finally after 4 years of hell)Other than that i'm trying to finish a knife for my dad, cutting the grass and the norm.

Probably work all weekend. Have a new dowel insertion machine at work that I need to have operational by tuesday when the company tech shows up. That way he can spend his alloted time showing us how it works instead of watching me run electric, air, and turn wrenches:rolleyes:
Might bale some hay on sunday, and I've always got horses to work and stuff to do in my shop here. If I'm luckily I'll get to sneak out and put a few rounds through my new rifle. The scope finally showed up today :D
