I am making a hawk and I wanted a wrap below the head. I got the idea of using twisted wire like I use on sword handles, just larger wire.

I pulled out some #14 copper wire, Doubled it, stuck the ends in a vice and chucked the other end in an electric drill. I got a nice tight twist.....

So Far so good. Then I got a great idea. That's always a danger sign.
I annealed the wire and took it to the anvil and commenced to flattening it. It worked great. Nice design and pattern. I annealed it again and put it on the hawk. It looked awful. :o Kind of like hanging a lace handkerchief on a possibles bag :barf:

At least you tried it and found that it didn't work.

That's why it's called trial and error.

If you didn't try, then you'd be management :D

Like Bill Moran said," I found 100 ways that wouldn't work before I found one that would."

I've got a hawk that the decoration looked better in theory than in practice myself Don. Looks like something somebody named huggy-bear would wear when he checked on his ho's. Not Hoes. Pimpin' hawk.

I tried that one time, never made it to the hwak...looked a bit fruity to me. I figured I was just doing it wrong or something.

Pimp hawk.....might just sell a bunch depending where your at. ;)
