It's getting close to Knob Creek

I plan on attending this year. making a few distillery tours/visits too.

I intend to buy a few new (to me) things to try out, Busses and a folder or two.

it'll be my first show, and the first big haul. my others have come piece meal.

I plan on taking my son he's never been there. I want him to see the night shoot pretty cool. Myself though I have'nt been there since 89 or 90. Did'nt see any Busse's back then. Can't wait to actually see a bunch of them in one place in person. Also to meet some of the folks around here. :)

I only wish I could come.

Things not very settled at work ... much to do ... not enough skilled, experienced people to do it. I suspect my nose will be at the grindstone during Knobcreek.:(

I'll be there Friday and Saturday. Now I just need to know what hotel Garth and the gang are staying at.......

Any one know anything about where when and how you get in on buying the knives etc. I think I read somewhere about people buying busse knives at one of the hotels. Maybe that was a special invitation thing?

disclaimer: I've not been yet

that said - there's a table at the show, manned by Busse-folk (Garth generally hauls a bunch of INFI to the Creek, Jerry sticks to Blade as far as I can tell). So, you wait in line to get into the show along with everyone else then try your hand at the first-come-first-served knives made available at the table. If it's out and you like it, buy it.

further - sometimes, depending on how busy it is and whatever other factors are relevant, they don't put out all the knives at once - so you either have to hang around most of the day or try to come back and forth. I suggest sticking around until you've gotten what you want, because the goods go fast.

also, apparently, sometimes there are some hotel room opportunities before and after the show.

and lastly, never underestimate what the good-ole-boy/HOG-network can arrange - I hear all sorts of deals get done behind the scenes.

this is what I've been able to gather from reading here.

anyone more knowledgeable please correct me if I'm mistaken...

I have a feeling this is going to be one heck of a time!
BUSSE is going to ROCK Knob Creek again!
