...I'll buy a Busse! I've been thinking about it lately, and I really like big knives, so it was going to be a BM. But it makes more sense for me to get a smaller knife that I'll use more. Is there a chance I can still get a Mean Street, or even better, a Lean Mean Street? Pricing on these? Impressions of these versus, say, the Natural Outlaw? I gotta say, one of the deciding factors was not just the excellent things I've heard about INFI and Busse Combat, but also the way Jerry and Co., along with Andy Prisco, seem to stand behind their product. Pretty rare to see that these days. Thanks in advance for your advice and suggestions, and if you'd prefer to email me privately, go ahead.

If your debating between the Natural Outlaw and the Lean Mean Street (get one fast) you might consider that the NO will give you more brute power for prying, hacking wood/bone, fire prep, splitting, etc. (buy the Steel Heart) while the LMS may be more handy for smaller projects like whittling tinder, food uses, just not have as much prying/hacking ability (buy the Steel Heart). If I was to have only one of the two, I'd opt for the Natural Outlaw (buy the Steel Heart) and carry a SAK for the smaller projects in camp (in the pouch on the Steel Heart sheath

. (the ideal thing may be to spend the extra forty bucks and get the Steel Heart for the extra chopping ability it provides)

So, with this in mind you might call Andy and discuss your needs and maybe even wait till the Badger Attack E becomes available (very soon)...(Nah, get the Steel Heart

No matter what your choice, you will be happy with any of Jerrys blades

Burke, it really depends on where you live, what you do in your spare time, etc., whether or not you'll feel you have enough use or opportunity for buying the bigger knife first.

For a city guy, it's not always easy for me to find opportunities to use my SHII, but my DWMS, on the other hand, I find I use quite a bit more around the house for a number of different chores and activities, in the garden, on different projects, even working on the car and doing a tear-off and reshingling the roof. On the other hand, if I was able to go camping every couple of weekends or so over the spring, summer, and fall, I'm sure I'd get alot more use out of the SHII.

Damn, life is rough when you're too busy to use a big Busse.

Kevin, you've been practicing your subliminal messages, haven't you? I have this inclination to get another Steel Heart...

That's just it, guys. I happen to like the big blades, but being a college student, I can't walk around campus carrying a real big knife all the time. I know I'll get a lot more use out of the knife if I get one with a 4-5" blade, so I'm thinking a Steel Heart is a little big for a daily carry, use-all-the-time knife. What's the BA-E going to be in terms of size? Seriously, the thing is not the extra forty bucks, but how I'll be using the blade. The idea of having a small sharpened prybar with me all the time is pretty attractive, and if it's too big, I won't have it with me all the time. Andy, if you're out, I'd love to hear what you have in stock/will have soon. Shoot me an email. Thanks.
