What's funny is just for kicks I have been carrying and playing with my Idaho Buck 110 for the last 2 days. I put my Spyderco's and Victorinox SAK's on the shelf and just used and played with the 110.

Tonight I got out my Spyderco Delica and my Victorinox Huntsman. They feel so light and flimsey like. :) I don't mean they are bad knives but I am starting to really like the feel of the heavy 110 in my hand. It's oh so comfy too.

I know many of you already know this and have carried 110's for a long time. I just wanted to share my thoughts on this great old knife.

It's unreal how long the 110 has been around and how good it still is. It seemed a bit large at first but after a while it seems normal and my other stuff seems small. :D

Ah...another one joins the club. Bucks Anonymous!

Joe Dirty will love the 110 even more when he learns to grasp the blade with thumb on the nail nick, and drop flick it open into his palm. :D :D

Buck Anon meets here regularly. :o

and then there are 112's, 560's.........................it gets worse Joe!

And oh yeah,,, he obviously hasn't had his hands on a 110/112 transition yet....

That's why I EDC a BM710. It's the size of a Buck 110 and hefty, but not as bulky and has a pocket clip.

I EDC'd a 110 back in high school when it was still ok to have a knife (I graduated in '99). I got to college and having that sheath on my belt all the time got a bit annoying when I was hiking across campus to classes. I started carrying a Kershaw with a pocket clip and never looked back.

What I like about the Benchmade 710 is that it's a modern high tech knife, but with very classic lines... and it's tough as all holy hell.

Don't get me wrong. I love my 110s and would carry them more if I could stand having stuff on my belt. As it is, they're my collection pieces now and I'm always on the lookout for more.

I've just been carrying the 110 in my front pocket. Not in a sheath or anything. I'm ok with that. ;)

yea he has that 110 pushed in the Front center of his deep pocket too!:D
i have a 110 with the alpha grip materal as the scales and man what a diff that makes!!! a 560 with that materal in the 'holes ' would make a powerfull edc!
for hard work i find the alpha seems to be a good choice
and for light work a tach lite is great!
But - i'am dreaming of a 110 with damascuss frame or scales....
