Since Dave introduced me to collecting Buck's Iv'e managed to buy/get quite a few...Mostly 112's since that's what I collect and display, but looking in the toy box I see a LOT of different models.I picked up a 651 'Pigsticker' a 532,a few 110's,a 450 I really like, several different slippies,a stacked leather washer 119 and on and on...Ive traded a verry few times a Buck for a Buck but each time Iv'e hated to let it go...I just have a hard time letting a Buck knife get away from me! My son wanted my 651 so bad I had to let him have it,But I got it back within 6 months! I see a lot of Buck nuts that buy and sell to finance there collecting but I just cant do it !!! If I get a great deal on a Buck I don't even think of selling it for a profit,I'm ticleled just to have a new one!!!!!!!! It's hard for me to sell a Buck..But I'm sure glad other folks dont!!!

dugh i guess i should feel badly for getting him hooked on bucks
thing is before he got hooked
he would say when i seen one i wanted and needed money for
"well jest sell one!"
i do but it is not often and only to buy another!
he under stands now

It's like going to WW and seeing a good deal on a BUCK Knife you know you won’t use, don’t collect, don’t need or particularly want for any reason but somehow you cannot leave it there and buy it to take home to place in the box (boxes) with all the other BUCK knives you did not collect, need or use. Hmmmmmmmm sickness I am not sure, but it’s time to buy another pair of boots so I can get a good box with a folding lid.

Sounds about right except that I long ago, outgrew the boot box thing. I've had to stock up on a supply of office file boxes.

There is such a item as a hoarding gene. Its been identified in persons make up and family lines. I don't know if there is even counseling for it. But I'm sure it doesn't exist among us collectors.DM

Well, you can always keep them as a 'Investment' But I do like to use a few..
