So as you guys probably remember, I asked a week ago about the existance of a special/limited edition BK2 for the scales my grandpa is making me. The only reason I wanted a 2 was because I already have one and wouldnt be tempted to use it. I decided any Becker, new or old, would do just fine. I started browsing the Exchange and offering up trades. No Luck. I even offered a trade on this knife, but the gentleman respectfully declined. A day or so later I get an email from the same guy asking if the knife I was trying to trade for was going to be for my grandpa's scales (he had obviously read my thread, although he has never posted to Becker) I told him yes that I was going to use it for that and that I was really open to using any Becker. The guy then said that if I told my grandpa that he was praying for him and agreed to not trade/sell it, he would give it to me for free. I was shocked and moved to say the least. I offered to trade him something (anything) or at least pay the shipping but he refused. A week later this shows up at my house. MINT. This gentleman wished to remain anonymous and I respect him even more because of it. So thank you so much, you know who you are. And without dragging this out any more than I have already, I give you the newest member of my family.........

Its a BK91-Desert Combat Bowie---mint condition--I am not quite sure how rare these are but I had never even heard of them til now--After some digging I found out they were a batch produced around 2003 for our Troops overseas in the MiddleEast. Thats about all I know, except that I am really going to need to get a 9 ASAP because this thing is just screaming for me to pick it up and chop something up (or down) with it....

Wow! That is very nice. What a great gesture for that anonymous board member

Congrats on the steel & as always post pics when the scales are on.

tip of the hat to mr anonymous, what an amazingly kind gesture! And that is one SWEET 9, I haven't seen one of those before. I think that will look great in a display.
