I stepped outside to take out the trash, and guess what I found? The fabled triangular box, right there outside of my front door!

I then took it outside and chopped to my hearts content (that's a whole lot of chopping by the way). Unfortunatly, the only camera that I've got is on my laptop, so these were taken post chopping.

The Khukuri is amazing! It came moderatly sharp, and cuts like champ. The fit and finish is great, and the little crack is hardly noticeable. Even at twice the price I payed for it, it would be an amazing deal. When the the HI knives are put up as "Deals and Steals," Yangdu isn't kidding!

W00T!!!!

hehehe...Welcome to a full blown case of HIKV.

*Nice*!

Yeah l'm keeping an eye on Yangdu's posts too.

lt's almost like a knife lottery.

Congrats on a winner Peter.

I have owned two other 15" aks before, was going to get that one as well to make it three...but it seems that it felt more like going your way rather then mine. :)

What kind of stuff did you chop?

Thanks! Beginner's luck I guess? :)

I chopped my way through some trash cedar that I saved for the sole purpose of chopping down once I got myself a khuk or other large blade. I also chopped and split a fallen oak- great fun!

I've now got to get myself a sheath and karda... I guess that means that next AK might be yours ;) :D .

HKIV... highly contagious and quite possibly incurable.

Thanks for the welcome, yall!
 :D

O happy day, to find the tribox upon the steps

what exotic, hand-made treasure lies within?

fabled khukuri, from the high Himalayas

the first of many, may it serve you well.

Mike :p

Congrats!

Peter .. is that your own hand .. :D .. ?

I'd like to think so. :D

Skyler- it looks like you didn't come out too bad in the grand scheme of the knife world... I may have been a bit quicker on the draw with the Khukuri, but you still managed to score a fee knife... congrats man!

Magnum- thanks man!
