It's here, and I cut myself...again

It's official, got the new to me BATAC, and in less than 2 hours cut myself. It's a small one, the cut that is, on left pinki. That's what I get for watching a stop sign and waiting for speeders in the dark while trying to tie a hand guard. This knife is much sharper than my ASH-1 was / is.:thumbup:
 
Hey don't be blue, those cuts will get larger :eek: :p :thumbup: :D Congrats on the new to you :thumbup:
 
One of my favorites, the BATAC I use is hella sharp! Look how smooth the cut is, above the break on the stick pieces... Almost like I took 1500 grit to it. :thumbup: It has tasted my blood too. Doesn't take much for this edgy knife to get through the skin! :D

This is a very sweet knife, I must learn to get them all this sharp. It makes my other knives I've sharpened with the sharp maker seem like spoons.
 
The BATAC has surprised me with its chopping abilities recently. I had the PorkFoo with me at a friends backyard cook-out and I chipped up a 2" fallen Hickory branch for smoking some burgers and chicken quarters. Of course splitting was almost effortless with a baton, it was cutting the branch to length against the stump that showed off the BATAC's abilities. I figured I'd be whacking that hardened Hickory furiously but 4 or 5 good licks and it was done. I don't know what you're going to do to speeders with it but once you get a chance to put it to work the BATAC will make you smile.
