Yes I know I'm screaming. I came home for lunch and my DT ESEE 4 and fire kit came.:D Well I'll try to post some pictures later. I have a feeling I wont get anything done at the office this afternoon. I'm taking my new toy with me and might end up behind the church "working in the field".

I'm envious. Currently waiting on my Izula and RC-6 to get here. Hopefully it won't bite.

Congratulations, today is a good day! Make sure to post pictures when you get home!

Very nice! Enjoy!

Kyhunt, I'm looking forward to hearing your impressions. I'm betting you'll enjoy it alot. IMO, as I've said many times, its the sweet spot in the ESEE lineup.

I smell trouble :D

Ok my nice looking knife is no longer nice looking.:D Well I decidedto see how it batoned. It did great. But what surprised me was after batoning quite a bit it still was able to shave hair off my arm. IMPRESSIVE!!!!!!! Coating started to wear quickily but no biggie I figured it would. After all I bught it for using. Ok I know its not a chopper but I just wanted to see what it could do on some sapplings that have grown up along the waters edge. ( Memo to self, good excuse to get a Junglas). The sapplings where about 1 1/2 inch diameter. Humm, not to bad of a job. And its still sharp. Well the spine wouldnt spark the fire kit but I'm sure this because of the coating that use to be there:) Yes Its no longer there. When I got home I decided to take my lovely knife and remove the coating. Might as well get it over with so I'm not afraid to use it. My coating removal job is not as refined as alot of the ones I have seen. But hey shes not going to stay pretty forever. So here she is. The only problem is now I want to try more ESEE. Between ESEE, Bark River, and Fallkniven I'm going to become a very poor man, with some nice toys.
Please excuse the pictures as photos are not really my thing. Also I have no clue how to get the pictures a decent size.

Congrats. I am keeping my fingers crossed that my H.E.S.T. comes this week (I ordered it last Friday). Waiting is always the worst part.

Congrats. I really like how the tan ESEEs look and surprisingly I have been able to avoid purchasing one.

Kyhunt,

You really didn't mess around, and got right to customizing that bad boy!

I am thinking of stripping my ESEE-4 like I did my Izula... still on the fence at the moment.

Any way, I see you use photobucket, when you are looking at your albums, and you scroll over a picture, you will see links pop up under the picture. You want to copy the IMG link, and then just paste it into your post/reply, and your pictures will show up normally. Hope this helps.:)

Well for 6 days now this is the only knfe I have used. I really like it. Now I wont go and say its my favorite knife but I really really like it. It is moving up the list.I'm very impressed with the edge it takes and holds. I was a little careless today while unsheathing it and slice my finger. I must say its like a razor. It may just be my sharpest knife I own. Thanks ESEE for such a great knife.

Thanks for great pictures. I've been eyeing that knife for quite while. Maybe I should get it next year :D

This is my first ESEE. I started eyeing the RAT/ESEE about 3 years ago. Since then I tried several different knives and one brand in particular that I love. But there is just something about this knife that I really like. If your on the fence I say go for it. The only problem is it does make me want to try more ESEEs. Like a Junglas or 6.:D
