Well I was really disappointed when the mailperson came and went without dropping off any packages today. I really had my heart set on getting my HEST. Oh well, there's always tomorrow.

Well, imagine my utter delight when I came home at 11:30pm and found a nice box on my front step! Care to guess where it was from?

Yup.. you guessed it - ESEE. After a lousy day at work, there is nothing like getting an unexpected present. I delayed the pleasure a bit longer by pouring myself a nice gin and tonic and carefully opened the box (actually I just tore ther crap out of it).

What a SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET knife! This will almost certainly take over all EDC duties. I am already itching for my next one, which will be a very special version of the Izula. I can guarantee that in 4-5 weeks I will have an Izula that no one here has (I think).

Oh I cannot wawit to wear thsi tomorrow. The one problem is position - behind my Glock 26 or SOB. Decisions.. decisions...

Use your thumb to withdraw the knife from it's sheath or you'll wind up pulling hte blade across your finger

Congrats. When I run my ESEE blades with my CCW gear or even out in the woods with a handgun, I carry my knife behind my spare magazine on my left side at about 8-8:30 position.

It's out of the way and easy to access with your left hand if you've really screwed the pooch and need it for firearm retention.

Man that thing is Alpha.
I was originally abstaining because I was worried about the thickness, which for my preference I felt was going to be too great. I’m ready to give one a try now
I'll keep my eyes out for one to come up for trade or sale.

The order goes in tomorrow, so you will have to wait 3-4 weeks before I get it. I'm about 99.9% positive no one has one, or has ever seen one. Frankly I was surprised when I came across it.

I know you guys are way up on this...but I just saw the pic on the internet of the AH-1 arrowhead INSIDE the HEST handles...apparently a little dremel work and it's a done deal.
well, of course I had to order a couple of the arrowheads. I know the HEST can be lashed easily...so it's sorta redundant. but the cool factor was too much to resist.
