Got my brother a BK-11 for christmas and he loves it. He carries it everywhere with him.

Well, I thought it looked like a handy little knife to have around, and I liked it so much I just ordered one for me.

Sooo, I've started off 2012 with my first new knife of the year, a KaBar BK-11.

Nice buy. However I feel the knife that best pairs with your bk5, is another bk5. Dual wield, like a samurai or ninja I'm not sure.

Jk. The bk5 and 11 just got together. I mean don't they make such a lovely couple?

I feel the same way, I ordered me one right before Christmas, I got it home, sharpened it up, made some cedar shavings for the fire, when I spotted my oldest eyeballing it. Mike and Jeff sent her an Izula for Christmas last year, so that's been her only blade, but a damn good one. Now, she's wanting something bigger. So she can help out with the fires, ya know, right Daddy?

What a con artist. :D

Actually the perfect mate for my old BK-5 is yet to be made available to us: the BK-15 mini-magnum camp.

I'm going to use the 11 to compliment my BK9HH. Like how a khukri has the little karda knife with it.

Sometimes less is more. Sometimes more is more. When you have both together it's more more more more more.
