SOOOOOO it's Monday! and Blade is now over.

Updates?

Any new Becker's being released at blade?

I figure we would have heard something by now.

Yep. Monday. Three days of Blade, and not a single word. No pics, either.

I wish someone had of posted at least cell phone pics with some commentary about what was happening.

I'd like to think that today will be the day though: it's not like it's a secret, right?

snowalker gets a pass, of course, because he said up front that he wouldn't be posting till Monday.

Other people? Well... who knows?

Ethan may have pics, but we probably won't see them till he can get Bladite — or someone else — to post them for him. I imagine that he'll weigh in himself with some text of how the show went (I don't know that for sure, it just seems likely).

So here I am spending another day glued to my computer waiting for The Word.

i did call Ethan from the woods, and got some dates for release of somethings.

the BK14s are "flowing across the production floor" and i recall that June is still a go time.

Magnum Camp us pushed to Shot 2011 iirc, i hope i can go to that one.

Tweeners pushed along too, i have a date in mind, but want to verify with Ethan or Toooj (or they can chime in)...

KaBar Machax is going to be a loooooong time. Drat!

What happened with the Magnum Camp? Last minute design change...any details?

So, did anything of interest to Becker aficionados happen at Blade?

Is there any good news?

It's a good thing, of course, that the BK-14's are actually making their way across the floor, and that the target is still June.

Apparently, the Magnum Camp is still a minimum of six months away. A lot of people are going to be disappointed with that.

Were the Tweeners at least shown at Blade? Wonder what kind of reception they got?

Sorry about the Machax: I know you were looking forward to that one.

Here's hoping that Ethan and Toooj weigh in with their thoughts soon.
 
Well this sounds like a real bummer.
No new release's at Blade available for immediate purchase?

So the only thing that is remotely going to be available soon are the BK14's?

I was hoping for BK14's, magnum camp, and tweeners to be ready to roll out within a month of blade.

O well we can still look forward to getting the BK14's soon right! :)

Bladite didn't say the Tweeners wouldn't be available soon: he just said that he wanted to confirm the date before saying anything. It could be that they'll be available at the same time as the BK-14: we just don't know yet.
 
Yup, pretty disappointed with the lack of information this year. The bk14 doesn't interest me much, I was hoping for info and release of the magnum camp, tweeners, and bk12.
 
yeah, it would've been nice to get the bad news last friday. having to sit through 3 days of silence and then this :(
 
The info about the Machax makes me cringe a little. I have been meaning to buy a Becker for a while, and probably will still get a BK9, but I really wanted that Machax. Oh well.

No, the Machax won't be coming out anytime soon.

The Magnum Camp will be six months, apparently.

The BK-14 will be soon.

The Tweeners could be soon.

Who knows what else was shown at Blade that we don't even know about yet?

The thing is, we haven't heard anything from Ethan or Toooj yet. When we do, then we'll know what's happening.

Also, there still may be reports from other people that just haven't been posted yet.

While I'm a little disappointed with the lack of information and pictures so far, I'd say don't write it off yet: it's only Monday.
 
Hi guys, I'm exhausted and my feet are sore from 9 straight hours of walking Saturday and 4 more Sunday. It was my first time to the Blade Show and I was blown away! It was like a chocolate lover being in a olympic size pool of chocolate. I got to meet Ethan B. and was thrilled to have a conversation with him. He's so down to earth he makes you feel comfortable from the start. We chatted about his knives and I of course had to buy another BK-2. I told him about my first one that I'm modifying and he was tickled pink to hear about it, and said he loved seeing what we all do to make our knives more personal. I think he showed me a neck knife that is a little bigger than the current "Becker Necker". I know you're all thinking wtf!! You think!!! Believe me, I spoke to so many people about so many knives and models, that I get them confused! I spent time with the ESEE people chatting about the Izula and they might have had the new necker. I'm sorry for not writing things down. There was no big release news that I saw, just dozens of people buying BK-2, 7, 9, and every other knife they had. Ethan left the booth and Sunday around noon I went back to buy a necker, the 2 guys there were so entrenched in their own conversation that they wouldn't look at me, I moved over right in front of them and they just kept talking! I got PO'ed and walked away. I went back at 1:00 and they had packed up and left. So without Ethan there, they're not too swift. Nothing could really bring me down from the high though, what a weekend! My woman was with me and knew we had a 12 hour ride home but stood by me as I tried to find more things to spend money on. We got home this morning around 2:00 AM. I'll post more with pics in the general discussion area. Sorry I have no hot news!

Hi, snowalker. Glad to hear that you had a good time (except for the sore feet). Yeah, I understand that Blades is like Disneyland for knife nuts.:D

Ethan's a really good guy, and easy to talk to. It may be that the neck knife he showed you was the upcoming BK-14: a lot of people waiting for that one.

Did you get a chance to see the Tweeners? Everyone's waiting for those, too.

We'll look forward to your post with the pics and more info.

Maybe the Blade show was not all that was expected for new product but don't get disheartened with only the BK14 coming just think how much extra money you will have to buy at least one of all the others. because if you don't have at least one you don't know what you are missing. not one bad one so far (BK9 could have been a little thicker but im not complaining at least its out there) Buy the past while your waiting for the future. and when you have nothing to do personalize it and post a picture. those are the most interesting posts for me.
 
Camp Magnum was at Blade. Very nice blade. Who knows may be out before we know it. That blade handles nice and just looks good. Handled well. I can see one in my future . LY

yeah, that's one of the prototypes... production won't be for a bit.

tweeners are not going to be soon sad to say.

only time enough in one day, and KaBar makes a LOT of other knives too.

Were the Tweeners at least shown, do you know? If so, I hope someone got pictures.
 
You are correct that it was the prototype. But I would keep my eyes open. Who knows what lurks in the blade world. Things move slow and sometimes fast. So don't get caught off guard. LY
