Yep.Turned 32 today. Got home from being on the road for a week and went out to the garage and guess what? My beloved CBR is not there. I live in a apartment complex and the garages are all in one long building. The police think that the tools climbed over the wall between the bay's and opened the door from the inside.
None of the 20 apartments that face it saw a thing. Thanks people. It was there at noon today, gone at 9:58. Broad day light. My 4 year old is more upset than me. Cried himself to sleep.
I just needed to vent. No prayers needed. It's just metal. But now I realize nothing in the garage is even remotely safe.
Feel.free to.delete this if you want mods. Like I said just needed to vent and you guys seem like kindred spirits.
 
That's awful!! Things like that can be replaced no worries, it's the fact that some moron/s have invaded your private space, your home and taken it upon themselves to help themselves to your stuff is what makes you feel yuck. Sick even. I hope they catch the stupid twits! :mad:

It's just 360 pounds of raw power and good memories. But in the end its just a machine. That machine changed my life tho. The stories I could tell. But I'm a no regrets kinda guy. Thing can only work out. Would still like to give the people who stole it some Busse content.
 
Sucks man! :( Sorry to hear it. Make sure your son knows that he is safe! Trauma like this can last longer than you might think.

At an apartment I lived in about 12 years ago in Texas, something similar happened. The individual garages were fully enclosed all the way to the ceiling, but walls were unfinished (no drywall). Some lame thieves just used a sawzall to cut through the 3/8" chipboard walls until they reached the garage unit they wanted into. Theives SUCK!!! :thumbdn:

Yes it is insured.
Basically the same thing except the gap was pre made by the complex. The walls only go up 8' then exposed studs. Just crawled over. Which means one of my neighbors is the most likely perpetrator.
The boys not scared. He just loved the bike. He thinks it's Arr Cee from transformers.
 
Sorry bro! I hate scumbags!! If they tried as hard at working as they do ripping people of they'd probably be rich. No work ethic though... To bad you couldn't catch them and legally give them the bacon if you know what I'm saying. Happy Birthday!
 
Gixxer sorry to hear about the thievery man. Keep an eye on those neighbors. Its a shame a neighbor would do that but ya just never know.
Karma will come back your way I'm sure.

Oozing out their pores, spewing forth from their..... Well, you get the point!
If it turns out family or friends are playing a prank on you let us know so I can call off the voodoo dogs - things are like unguided missiles.

Buy your self a new one for your Birthday and use the Ins. Money to get it with ~~ problem solved and you have a new "Bike" .!* I know you will miss the old one but hey ~~ you can't beat new.! {just an idea.}
 
That sucks! Thieves. There is an up side though. It sounds like you have had the bike for awhile. Now it is time to get a new one! And you don't have to worry about trading it in.

So what color is your new birthday bike toning to be?
