yup, todays the big 25.. a 1/4 century old, and guess what i got this morning, my very own H.I. WW2 :D:D:D:D:D a 16.5 long, horn handled chunk of beauty... so many things that ive read on this forum over the last year make sense now, that didnt make any sense before actually holding one, i took it on a walk today, it chops like a dream, lovely blade.. i was expecting it to be a lot heavier than it is, yes its heavy, but the balance of it seems to hide the weight rather well :D:D

ewww you're so...old:barf: I'll be 29 in February:D

Happy Birfday and enjoy that WWII. The WWII was my third khuk and still one of my favorites. Mine's the 18" version. However, our late great moderator Rusty used to swear up and down that the 18" one is great, but at 16.5" it was just magical. Hey, the man knew what he was talking about;)

Happy Birthday!!!
Many more Khukuris

Hell, 25 isn't a birthday, it's just part of the training program for life.

Happy Birthday.

Happy birthday, Seth. Khuk's make a great addition to anyone's camping kit, defensive weapons, yard tools, wow your friends tools, etc, etc.

thanks for the wishes, yangdu, you and my mom really schemed on this one, i had no idea i'd be getting a khuk, far less the one of my dreams !!!!!!! i mean honestly, i was floored when i first held it, truly an amazing feeling.. thank you so much.

by the way, i believe i have the first H.I. khuk in Barbados, but i seriously doubt that will remain that way for long, a few of my friends have fallen in love with them.. i think i want another ww2, a wood handled brother to this one, then i think something light and long just for fun. i promise i'll get some pics up soon, the blade is already looking right at home for me (it came with a mirror polish but hey, lets face it, well used is also a good look)

Happy Birthday Seth:)
That's a cool birthday surprise.
The WW II are some of my favorites.
It'll be nice to see one being used in such a nice place.

Take Care
Mark

its chopped a lot already.. i'll do some more gardening chores with it, but i dont wanna chop anything much in the wilderness, gotta leave it bushy :)
