The lilies are in full bloom a nice sight after a cold snowy winter.

Yowza! The junipers and cypress are blooming and the wind is blowing 6 to 7 on the Beaufort scale. Oooooh! My poor sinuses. :(

Yes!!!, Its time to snezze 5,000 times :p

My wife is suffering with this right now. North Texas is turning green; it's actually quite pretty around here in spring (...before it stops raining in mid-June and everything dies again). The trees are sprouting, flowers are everywhere, and the weeds are growing full blast. Our cars are covered with a coating of yellow pollen, and our eyeballs are colored the nicest shade of red. :(

Allergies are all in your head.

I guess this is to be taken literally?

How many people do NOT have allergies? I don't and I wonder if it has to do with how I was raised. From the time I was born my parents took me all over and did many activities outdoors where I was exposed to everything. They let me crawl around on the ground and play in the dirt and leaves. Because of this I was exposed to lots of allergens at a young age when I was developing an immune system. I think because I was exposed to everything my body built up an immune response so that I do not have allergies, I am not allergic to poison ivy, not allergic to any medicines, and I am not allergic to mosquito bites (no itchy red bumps) or other bug bites. Just wondering if anyone else who is not allergic to anything had a similar treatment as a baby.

Sorry to go off topic but I have been wondering about this and it seems like allergies have sort of become the topic.

I've been outdoors all my life to, I have no problems with posin oak or bug bites or anything except spring, I snezz my head off from the time the bradford pear trees an dogwood trees bloom until it gets to 90 deg. an stops raining.

We've had a couple of days with temps in the 80s....Rode my patrol bike for the first time since my knee surgery last year. Did pretty good...Knee was pain-free. (I suspect much of the rest of me will not be....)

Allergies...My wife has suffered with them forever. Spring, Summer, Fall...Doesn't matter. I used to chuckle.... Suddenly, at age 63, I have been reduced to a Zyrtek-popping, nose-running, eye-itching....
Well, the wife now laughs at me.

The new over the counter zyrtek suck, but the prescription kind work great for me anyway.
