It's Never Too Early...

...To plan to attend the next meeting of the NJKCA. Yep, it's this Sunday already, August 15th. Last month's was one of the biggest turn-outs we've had - let's see if we can top it!! As usual, everyone & anyone is invited - No dues, No dull minutes from the last meeting - as a matter of fact it really isn't even a MEETING. It's a time & place for fellow knife nuts to get together, share some libations, and talk, fondle and enjoy knives. Heck you can even have lunch while you're there.

For anyone not familiar with the details, it's at 1:00 PM at the Steak & Ale on Route 1 South in the Edison area. Just ask your wives - it's between Woodbridge Center & Menlo Park Mall.

Hope to see as many faces there this month!!

I will be there again this month. Too bad Clydetz can't make it this time. :( Get well soon!
Btw, when's the website going to be updated?
 
Glad to hear that you'll be back. As far as the website goes, I know Chuck Young, our Webmaster has been having some problems. You have to remember, he is only doing this part-time; most of us are working full-time jobs, and do this, only because we love knives so much! See you on Sunday.

I'm afraid the Pompton Plains contingent won't be able to make it either :(

I will keep my knives sharp for the next one.
 
HI guys,

Before making reservations, I need to know a rough number of how many may be showing up. So far I know everyone who can't make it ( seriously, thanks for that info), but how about those of you that will bw there. So far it's me & James! I also know that Komodo will be making the trek out from Long Island.

How about a few more confirmatioms? Gary, I know your situation, so don't worry about it. By September, you'll be fellin' fine, and hoisting a Pint or two with the rest of us.

Thanks everyone! The unofficial count is 8. I'll call tomorrow and make reservations for 10 - 12. Let's all try to bring some cool knives, so we can make up for quantity with quality! BTW Ben try to get there before the end of the meeting - the "Closing Ceremony" of our meetings is something you don't want to miss!! See you all on Sunday!

The website is now updated and all new members are listed. Also, I sent a reminder email to everyone. Does anyone have a working email for cutty? His emails keep bouncing back to me.

WOW!!! When I called the S&A on Thursday, I orginally told them about 10 - 12. Looks like this may be growing!!! I'll try to get there a little early and up the count to at least 15, maybe 20. Maybe we can out-do last month's??? We had so many knives set up, that we had to eat on the lower level where the hoi poli are sometimes stranded. It is amusing, some of the looks we get as people are flipping Bali's & firing automatics (I'm guilty of the second one!).

Really looking forward to a great meeting tomorrow. See you all around 1:00 PM. And don't worry about the rain from Charlie. We're expecting a sunny day by tomorrow afternoon!!
