I'm not sure where to post this but I spend most of my time in shop talk.
I've got a friend that I have been heat treating some blades for & I Have made a couple of knives that I just gave him. So I paid for the wood (but he picked it out) and he made me a longbow. I have never shot before. My friend, Mike, is a member of a local bow hunters club and shoots all the time he has made several bows and convinced me that I needed one too. I am pretty excited to get it. It sure is pretty. Now I just need some practice.

The riser is bocote and wenge. It has action boo limbs with bacote veneeres. Comes in at 52 lbs. at 28"

Thats awesome. I have a very old lemon wood bow that I'm in the process of refinishing. I've had it for probably 20 years. It's a cool piece for show, not much for shooting as the draw weight isn't very high.
