I just wanted to let everyone here know that I am very
happy with my CR knives.

Back in Dec I posted on this forum about my 1st Sebenza
purchase, a lrg classic w/ bocote wood inlays.Love the
knife,but...it is a little too large for EDC.(i work around alot
of non- knife people:barf:)

So...in January I discovered that my dealer had a snakewood
Mnandi that had been put on lay-away by someone as an x-mas
gift for her husband. But she never picked it up!!I decided that I
HAD TO HAVE IT.I bugged my dealer constantly to sell me the knife, referring to his 45 day lay-away policy. Finally he gave in:D
My plan was to use it as an EDC for work. Could not do it..Knife is
too damn pretty.I need a nice dress knife anyway;)

In March I set my sights on a Small Plain classic Sebenza.I NEEDED it
for EDC. He ordered it for me.I waited very patiently for it to arrive.
(yeah right)Finally it came.Perfect size, this is going to work great.
It has turned into my mon>fri EDC.It is already scratched and has
a small stain on the blade.(i work around industrial chemicals)But
no big deal, that is what I bought it for.:D

I visit this forum on a regular basis and imagine my shock and horror
when I read that the Regular Sebenza was going to be discontinued:eek:
I don't have one!Well I need to take care of this right away.
Off to the dealer I go.July 1st I bought a large regular sebenza
with the computer graphic "3 in line".Very nice.I'm happy now..maybe.

I read here how everyone LOVES their Micarta Sebenza's. I NEED
a small micarta.I have not pulled the trigger on this yet,but it
probably won't be long.

In closing (finally) I only have 2 minor complaints about my Sebenzas.
The pointy thumbstud takes some getting used to.
I would like to be able to close my Sebenza with one hand with out
putting my thumb in the blade's path. This is one of my favorite features
on my Benchmade Axis lock knives.

Thank you for reading my LONG post. Take Care

Yes, you're doing fine. Enjoy your Sebenzas. You've earned them. :)

Now to the technical details. I don't know how you open your Sebbies, but if you push forward on the thumblug instead of away from the handle, it works more easily and might not tear at your thumb as badly.

Also, if you take a ceramic rod, like a Sharpmaker rod, and gently buff the thumblug with it, it will remove the harsh edge without any damage to it.

nice job on the sebbies and mnandis. they really are addicting!

opening a sebbies is kind of a science. they do not open like normal knives. try pushing the thumb stud almost in a parallel line to the scales.
