BladeFrourns.com is 2 years old today! Spread the word, post links to this thread in other forums. Let's celebrate!

I want to personally express my gratitude to each of the members, moderators and all those who participate here and even the lurkers.

A lot has happened over the last two years and I have learned much from all of you and I have learned a lot about myself and how to manage a very large community. It is not easy, decisions must be made, goals must be accomplished and we must move on and keep building on the incredible base we have here.

The success of this site has been a testament to those who call this place their hang out, their refuge and for some it encompasses their entire social life I believe

I have been honored to be associated with those who visit here. Those who have been here since the beginning, and those who know what we went through to make this site possible may have a fuller understanding of what it takes to make this site work. Those of you who are new here, hold onto your hats, you ain't seen nothing yet!

On October 2nd, 1998, Spark and I turned this site on. What a gamble this would be, and what a huge personal undertaking it would prove to be. I had no idea that we could possibly build BladeForums to what it is today. Yes we are #1 in every category that can be measured, but what can not be measured is the amount of comrade and brotherhood which we have developed. I have never seen anything that compares to the way we all go out of our way to help each other out. I thank you, I thank each of you for what you have helped us build.

This site would be a lifeless and void without you, the member.
This site would be a lifeless and void without you, the moderator.
This site has also lost someone very special and dear to me, James Mattis. I miss him and will never forget the level of professionalism and fairness he brought to our community. He was a far better man than I. He can never be replaced and his name will forever remain on this forum. Rest well my friend, you are missed and loved.

I look forward to the future and I see many wonderful things happening here. Many ideas are in the works behind the scenes now but we must manage our growth very carefully. Now that we have the bandwidth we need you will begin to see several cool things on BladeForums. I will not divulge the secrets at this time as we must maintain our lead in this area. Let's just say you will be able to make BladeForums.com your 1st and only stop for information on knives to help aid you in making a more educated buying decision or you can make us your favorite place to see new toys available in this industry. Not to mention how fun it is to hang out here amongst friends.

Stay tuned folks, it is about to become a fun wild ride.

Thank you again as it is you, the member who makes this site work.

Enjoy!

PS Look for many contests and giveaways all month long!
