Yesterday at a store selling used building materials, I saw some old axes for sale, off to the side in the rain. I rescued these two, both made by GBA, a 3.5 pound single bit and a 2.5 pound cruiser. Prices as marked.

There were several other axes there, including a 5-dollar Tommy Axe, which I left for someone else to adopt.

Steve, you suck. Which is my way of saying, "Great find, I'm totally jealous." :D

What sweet deal. It's nice to get lucky from time to time. That cruiser will be awesome. Thanks for sharing

oh, boy, that cruiser!

that single bit looks a lot like the HB I picked up last fall at the junk store....er...antique mall. prolly just the blue paint making me think that, though.

sweet, sir!

How i wish i could find those deals, Steve!

Just curious what are those holes on the haft of 3.5pound single bit?

What an awesome score! That single bit still has paint on the poll. No one's been using that as a wedge.
