Well...this is were folks might want to shoot me.

These are "Special Factory Orders" for Bill Horn at Cumberland Knife Works, here is a link.

http://www.cumberlandknifeworks.com/cgi-bin/store/commerce.cgi?product=mtman1095

They are normally $69.00 each, but I bought these second hand, but still NIB from someone on another forum for $40.00 each.

The line to slap me starts here..............................:D

At what point should I consider professional psychiatric help?

Ummm; TLC, I think you need a couple more of those babies:D I mean, a person should have a few knives to call their own, or what's life for anyway? ??
Buy two more, and call me in the morning:eek:

Well now, there's nothing wrong with family values. ;) Nice 'family.' Great score on the two latest ones. Those are good looking knives.

Knife Collector, let me echo LC's comment on the dog sig. My sweet girl (52lb lap dog) is laying on the floor right behind me as I'm typing this. I'm not sure if she's facing the door to watch my back or because someone is in the kitchen and she thinks there might be food. <g>

LC, question for you regarding the up and down play that seemed kind of prevelent on the sambar stag mt men - is it a common problem on all of them as well?
And for anyone that might know, if you get one with a lot of play and send it in to Queen, can they correct it if you have limited run scales like that?
I'm guessing that you can't take scales like that off without ruining them, but if I'm wrong please correct me.

jerrinfla, I'm not sure how prevelent the slight bladeplay is, of mine, all but the carved stag bone and the Schatt & Morgan have very slight play in them. Not enought to effect the use of the knife though.

I'm not sure that fixing it would require Queen to remove the handles, they might be able to just remove the bolster.

IMO, you have to cut the pins, peen and file the concealed corner of the backspring, and re-assemble the knife. Removing anything else would make a mess and be counter-productive. Get Harris's, and Kelley's books on knife repair from www.knifeworld.com if you want to understand the process. They are great little books for anyone interested in what makes a well-functioning pocketknife!

Nice family pic! I'm jealous. I still need to get one of those. I wish more folders could be had with good carbon steel.

Yeah, I don't know if it's my age catching up to me, or what, but more and more knives I buy lately are plain old carbon steel.
