EU-17 Magnum arrived today. Would have been in yesterday, but mailman botched the delivery. I'm at work and it's at home. :grumpy: Can't wait for close of business today. :D Happy Thanksgiving to one and all!!!

That is good news!! No matter when mine get here, I dont get it till December 25, bacuase it is a Christmas present from my parents. Post pics so as to relieve my sufferings! :D

Obviously you are confused. Seeing it will increase your suffering until 12/25 :)

Got home and opened the box containing my EU-17 Magnum. A little background on the events that led to tonight just before my opening the box: I talked to Mickie at Busse Combat last Monday morning. I asked her if the Magnums were indeed shipping that day. She said, "yes" and confirmed with me that I wanted express shipping. A little bit later, I get a call from Mickie. She says that there will be a problem if I wanted the number "30" on my Magnum. That would delay shipping until next week. I told Mickie that the number wasn't really important to me and that any one would do. So, back to me opening the box and feeling my jaw drop to the floor when I find that the Magnum had the number "1" on it! :

Congrats you little piggy! Where did you get your U2???

Thank you, Bravado. :) Got the U2 from Tactical Warehouse.

Dr. Thor, specs are as follows:
- length from tip to end of handle: 15"
- length of cutting edge: 8.5"
- blade with: 1 5/8"
- blade thickness: 1/4

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

according to jerry that would be a clip point :)

im thinkin i should have gone with that instead of the terror monkey battle mistress....

i love the tmbm... but 1/4+ would sure be extremely nice...

whees the balance point?

i come from himalayan imports with my 1/2" everything, constantly wanting the 3/4" thick super saylan to busse combat's 1/4"....

the thinnest knife that himalayan impots makes is 3/16 - and thats the kagas katne. essentially a paperweight. the thinnest usable knife they make is 1/4" and again, thats the bilton, a sort of semi usable knife thats to small to be comfortable.

the thinnest actually khukuri they make for use is always 3/8" or thicker.

i have wanted a 3/4" 18" ang khola and 25" ang khola ever since i knew it was possible. trust me - if they made a 3/8" or thicker battle mistress, non custom, id jump on it. if it was 1/2" - id miss work, or get fired for it.

but thats for choppers. i carry both thick and thin becuase i can, and to get the best of both worlds. i was interesting to see schantz's 1/2" blades, but personally they are both to small for it, and the almost 1/2 saber grind was excessive. but it showed that it could be done.

ive always been one for extremes - but as far as busse is concerend, they simply dont offer the kind of extremes id be interested in as far as thickness, hence my having to make my own thin edc. at least, not within my yearly earnings price range...

Well, I got mine today and I must say that it is a nice knife. There is a small chip out of the blade coating that I am not happy about on a new knife but I am not sure if it is worth worring about or not.

Now joy yet out here in Kalifornia but it seems that customs is slowing things down maybe tomorrow :D :D
