Wow!
What a ton of info is available on the BCCI website. The old newsletters, the brochures etc
I also just used one of my two knife purchases for the year ( a Vantage Pro ), suffice it to say the price was a very pleasant surprise. Also picked up a couple of newer 110 sheaths for my homeless fellows and one of the diamond sharpening rods. Top that off with free shipping and my CC doesn't even hurt!
Cheers!
Russ

Please explain some of the benefits you are using? I’m a BCCI member and sounds like I be missing something. BCCI is a great group of people and have bought some great club knives. Thanks for the info.
Bob.

Well, understand that I am new to the Buck world, I've had a few Buck knives over the years but probably not more than 2 at the same time until about 4 years ago. Collecting? Nope. My knowledge of model history consisted of the fact that my brother had a 110 around 1974, that's it.
Now, I am interested in the brand and many of the models. The BCCI site allows me to read on-line past club newsletters that have the articles about various people and knives and history and designs. They have dealers retail price lists going back, hmm don't remember yet how far they go back, but at least back to the early 80's. Matching these price lists are the yearly brochures for the dealers showing current and new models.
To top it off, if you are a member of BCCI, you qualify for a discount on merchandise purchased from Buck. Two knives, two 'sharpening' items, two sheaths, and a bunch of 'merchandise' like hats, shirts, etc per calendar year; and it's a healthy discount.
All in all, deal of the century. I should have just gone ahead and signed up for the life membership, by the time I purchase another knife and a few other things this year the savings alone would have paid for it.
Cheers,
Russ

Russ thanks for the information. I will have to look into the web site to see how you order and get the discount. I am still amazed by the club news letter and club fund raiser knives.
Thanks again Bob.

i'm gonna need pull the trigger and sign up too. i kept thinking since i am new to Buck in the last year or so and only "collect" new models woukdn't have a lot to share about the older ones and didn't wanna start searching for a particular one once i got the fever worse then i already do by reading about em! but sounds like a good grouo to be part of and wont be long till i'll be searching for one of those made way back in 2010. tanks for posting more about it

The 2 knives, sharpening an so forth that russ is talking about is on the Prosite-you got a card with your membership packet that had a code to register on the prosite(located at very bottom of web page in small print)-like russ said, the 2 knives by themselves saved me about $70 from normal retail(not MSRP) last year. Also when you log on, all the other knives(that dont qualify for Prosite) are priced differently. These prices are pretty much the same as retail. That way you can buy directly from Buck without having to pay msrp. It probably doesnt make a difference to Buck whether you buy from them or one of thier online sellers or brick and mortar stores but it makes me feel like I am supporting the company more if I buy direct from the factory. This particular perk just reinforces me that Buck really cares about the BCCI and its members--Thanks Buck!

It amazes me how many members arent aware of this. I was just talking to another forumer the other day who wasnt aware of this great benefit of being a Club member.

I have never heard ANYBODY say they regretted spending the extra money for the life membership.

Never.

Even more amazing, in my opinion, and what most members are also unaware of, is the fact that you can buy any knife even cheaper (wholesale plus 10%) from Larry O if you have a life membership.

 to that. I just rejoined after letting my membership lapse for 13 years. Looks like they got my application right after yours!
