Well spring is here, and along with it turkey season. I started my turkey season a little early, in Texas this year. We went and visited relatives, and I turkey hunted a couple mornings. I got to put the Ky Fieldmate to use on it's first turkeys, and used it preparing supper one night for my uncles family. We had fried turkey, hot potato salad, baked beans and rolls. They loved it- had to give them the recipes and I believe my uncle is going to start turkey hunting.

I have never hunted turkey. Looks like fun! And your nail polish is lovely btw...

Yeah, I envy you. I really wanted to go Turkey hunting this year, but just don't have the time. Illinois does it weird where you have a week per season and each is $15; waste of money if I can only hunt 2 days out of the week. Got some new box and diaphragm calls, plus a turkey hunting book for Christmas. My brother's house(in WI) usually has turkeys in the morning(one time over a dozen) and I can hunt the DNR property behind it, but don't have time. Definitely planning on doing fall turkey though, but we'll see what happens then.

Man that looks like fun. Great looking bird and knife.

That would be a blast! Thanks for sharing. Man, I'd love to do that! Sounds like dinner was tasty indeed!
Never been, was supposed to last year with a friend, but he never followed through.
