I'm afraid you are confusing me with Roger (Roger, you have an amazing collection of Buck knives. Thanks for all the knowledge, time and effort you put forth here on the forum.
Yep, got you two fine fellows confused...needed more coffee. But, the same goes for you Greg.I'm afraid you are confusing me with Roger (DeSotoSky ) who is a wealth of information here and an asset to the community.
I've never rightfully been accused of such and am offended that someone might think that of me...![]()

I'll try to. They are the same knife. What is confusing, one is marked as 122 , one as 124. Then there is the two liner that can be either....the main difference being the sheath.Okay . . . as we enjoy the pics, will someone please educate me on how the model 122 differs from the 124?
Just to add a bit more info, the 122 Nemo was marketed as a "diver's knife", hence the difference in sheaths. The 122 sheath was made to be strapped to the user's thigh with rubber straps, which are unfortunately missing from my sheath. The 122 was soon discontinued because the tang didn't hold up well to prolonged saltwater immersion. I'm by no means an expert, just adding my 2 cents worth.I'll try to. They are the same knife. What is confusing, one is marked as 122 , one as 124. Then there is the two liner that can be either....the main difference being the sheath.
If you are a BCCI member the website's Model History has articles on this.
Buck does use retired numbers over. This is the case of the 122 filet knife and the 122 NemoTo add to confusion, when I searched there also were pics of a different 122, very much a filet knife.![]()
