Looks like a washout for the rest of the day here once it starts raining. I guess I'll get out in the shop and start getting my stuff organised for the hammer-in.
Saturday I'll try to get my cutting knife finished up. I decided to radically change the handle on it. This new design is much better and uses some highly odiferous stag.
Adjust valves and rebuild the carbs on my motorcycle and maybe start another knife or tomahawk. Mainly just try to enjoy life and not be jealous all all the jerks that are at blade without me :( .

yeahup wishing I was at blade too last year I was on the plane at this time.. :(

TGIF! Man, I can't wait until today is over. I got a bit of good news, too. My ARM is getting much better. I've been doing some stretching and been doing some physical therapy. It's still somewhat stiff, but it actually feels stronger than before. I ordered a new 100# propane tank and I'll pick it up today. I'll go easy, but its going to be so nice to heft my 1500g German tonight. My son wants to be striker for me, which is good, because he's taller and stronger than me. So who needs a power hammer? I already got one! All I have to do is keep it fed and keep the fridge full of beer!

Well, after two weeks in the hospital (don't ask!) I'm feeling like a worn out dish rag. Thinking of getting into the shop this weekend gives me pause...but not for long! :D I'll just take it easy and enjoy myself.

I need to knock off a repair and finish up that Theater knife, which is so close I've been going crazy not working on it all this time. And I have some prototyping to do for a guy starting up a knife factory, he's been relentless...

I'm missing Blade too. I had a blast last year, maybe I can make it again next year.

Dave, We didn't know you been down, friend. I sure hope you are well now! You guys ought to see Dave's shop. He keeps it spotless between operations, every machine up and ready, begging to be run. Everything in its proper place, a real showcase shop. Lots of room to work, well lit, warm and dry. Dave's shop is very secure, and his pony size dog remembers everyone that has been there. I wish I had a dog like her when I was a school kid. She could have done my homework. Anyhow, it looks like rain here, so it's a good shop day. I am going to do some work on the double blade knife and dig out the fokos (01 steel) heads, maybe get some work done on them. I am considering firing up the rivet forge and doing some pounding on the fokos, actually. My neighbors have slept late enough as it is.

Ya Dave sorry to hear that you've been out of it. Two weeks is along time to be in hospital. Glad to hear you're back on your feet.

Well this is a first for me. Usually I would look forward to a payday friday, accept I didn't get paid! I work for government, you'd think that it's a safe bet that you would get paid on payday??? I guess the bank that does the direct deposit processing for the government is having computer problems and can't disperse the payments so no one in the entire government (NWT Territorial gov't) that I work for gets paid today!

Guess I've got the weekend to pound out my frustration.

Sean
